Phoenix Raqs

My dance name, Al-'Anqa (Al ENG Kah), is Arabic for "Phoenix". I'm a belly dancer of Egyptian style Raqs Sharqi, Egyptian Folkloric, and American Cabaret styles.

My mentor is Kawakib of Fredericksburg, VA.  I currently study at Sahara Dance in DC and am a member of Raquettes Naima at Sahara Dance.  Check Sahara's website for upcoming performances.
